yeah pictures would help. It sounds like you either have a short, or somethings simply plugged in backwards.

Ok, make sure that first off the ESC is plugged into the "Throttle" Steering is "Str" I beleive? and in your case the rear steer would be "Aux" Then make sure the black wire is always towards the outside of the plug. Its hard to tell by the pictures, so See if you have that and post back up

k, on your controler hit model 5 times until it says ST, then hit channel, and it will say TH with a little dash under it. Then hit increase and it will flip your throttle for it to be right. Check your wire extensions on your servos and see if they are plugged in correctly.

Awesome! Slowly getting there. You say you have the DX3 right? I have the same radio and had to program mine for 3 position 3channel which is what you have to do.
Start by turning the radio off, and hold Model and Channel at the same time, then turn it on and it should say FN3. Then you hit mode and it will say CLR with a blinking number at the bottom. then you hit model again, and it will say 3P which stands for 3 position. Turn the radio off, then back on and it will have 3 position. Then you will have to set endpoints, which i will help you with after you have done the above.

EDIT: Oops, messed up, reread that

k..I think I got that, what one is the "model" button? I have "mode" "channel" and increase and decrease... i'm assuming you mean "mode"? right now when you turn it on it says "MD3 9.2 v"

Also, when I was driving it a little bit just now.. the throttle is VERY sensitive.. if I squeeze it in fast at all it cuts out and if i'm trying to climb something it cuts out.. same with reverse. It dosen't steer hardly at all, it used to be able to turn real good.. even without quad steer

yep I ment mode, sorry. Watch your rig as you give it throttle. If the green light on the receiver flashes then it means your losing signal. My old receiver had a split in the antenna and would cut out from time to time. You also need to change your endpoints on your steering. Hit mode twice, then it will say STL and then a number, that number needs to be 125, then turn the steering wheel and hold it, and make sure that number is 125. then hit channel to change your endpoints on throttle and your 3rd position.

k, I figured out how to program the rear steer... now just need to figure out why my throttle cuts out of I give it much power..... ideas?

I was watching the receiver, and when I ease in to it very very carefully the green LED will stay lit up, but if I push it in to go forward or reverse the led cuts turns off until I release....

It sounds like you have a split or your losing signal somewhere in your truck. Like I said my old sr3000 did that and it was due to a crappy antenna wire. Im glad you got it working for the most part though!

didnt realize this until i just looked at it again you are running 2 motors with 1 esc not to mention a fairly old it seems but this cut out of the throttle is because you are loading the esc to power those to motor which is causing it to cut the power maybe think about getting 2 esc or try a bec to the esc maybe..................

hmm.. alright, I'll look into that. The ESC is brand new, and it's the exact same one I had on there before and it worked great, how would I hook up two ESC's? wiring diagram?

I think if you just went to a better ESC ex: mamba max, sidewinder, tekin FXR, or even a novak rooster crawler with an external BEC you would be fine. I didnt even think about the esc being too old. I used to run the same esc, and they arent the best in the world..
