| Scale?
Alright guys.. another dumb question I couldn't find the answer to... How do I tell what scale my truck is? I'd like to get another body for it, and down the road parts but have no idea what to order them for...... I bought my rig off craigslist, so kinda lost.

if you really want to get "technical" then most 1/10 rc bodies actually arent 1/10 scale at all. Say the ford bronco wheel base is 100inches 1:1, that means the RC body would have to have a 10" wheel base to be 1/10. So you will need to measure the WB of your bodied vehicle. then divide that by your Rc wheel base. example: if your dodge truck had 122" wheel base, and your dodge RC ended up with a 13" wheelbase, you would type 122 divided by 13. Which comes to 9.3, so your truck would be considered 1/9th scale. this topic is also argumentative over tire sizes. Just because it is titled 1/10, doesn't mean the tire is actually 1/10scale, to a 1/10 scale body. The 1.9 RC4wd rox lox's are 4.5" tall. So in 1/10scale talk, they would be 45" tires. But in a 1/9 scale crawler, they would be 40's. Or 54's on a 1/12 scale crawler. |

First you want to pick the body you want to use and match a chassis to it, then you can make the wheelbase fit the body. | |
