Default tire weights Q!!

So my Q is im putting weights in my tires, and i want to know where i put them on. I got the stick on type. I read that some put it inside of the tire to the tire or some put it on top of the foam, or between the wheel and the foam?

Thanks for the help-

I had the stick strip weights. Took the tire off and mounted it on inside of the rim. Then put the foam and tire back on.

Exclamation Under the foam

Hey there i had the same q but then i came across that after you put the weights my tires were extra plump, so shave the fome and cut some grooves on the out side of the foam, that should give plenty or grip and flex

Either under the foams, or on the inside of the rims back - if you have the room. I did the under the foam method.

Just to throw it out there, try to put the weights on the axles some where. This will not stress the drive train as much. When you add mass to the wheels, the shafts and such will share this new mass. That is why a lot of clod guys put weights on the knuckles. I had weights in the tires on my super and it kept eating gears. I moved the weights inboard and while it still may occasionally strip a gear, it is no where near as often. Just my 2 pennies.

I mounted my weights between the rim and the foam.Depending on the sticks ons you have, they might just fit between the beadlocks and you wont need to trim your foams

The way i did it was i put the weight in the groove in the middle of the wheel. That way i didn't have to shave the foam and still added weight.

I used duck decoy weights for mine, its a lead strip about 5 inches long by 1/2 wide by 1/8 thick. I just wrapped it around the rim and super glued it on.

i currently use concrete anchors, they fit right in the center channel of the wheel under the foams. that's the best if found for the rims i have at the moment.i can fit 18 in each wheel. max 8 oz per wheel in weight.little spot of glue on each one to hold em in place and your good to go.i originally wanted lead tape, but no where to be found for me. i like it when i get a new set of wheels that need something different for them. im in the hardware store combing bins with a rim in hand. workers asking can i help you find something. i just say i dont know what im lookin for but i will know it when i see it! good one huh.

I've got layers of lead stick on weights in each front wheel, the stock foams fit over them with no problems. If you haven't moved your battery over the axle I'd do that ASAP.

I also put my stick on weights around the wheel and put the foams back on top of them. 6oz in each front and 3 in each rear. I did not cut my foam.
