The tekin fxr/45 combo, futaba 3pm x, hobbyco cs170, castle bec, 3s lipo around 850-1500mah and a good balancing charger is the minimum I recommend. Anythiung less will just get replaced and ya will end up spending double down the road.

There are a number of factors you need to look at when makeing your selection. The biggest thing is of course "MONEY". There are several very good RTR kits you can get. Axial, Losi, Venom seem to be the biggest ones. Are you a person who like to tinker with stuff or build things? If not then you are going to want to stick with a RTR. If you do then you need to decide if you want something that is you can just get started with and upgrade as you go and get to be a better driver or do you want to go with a competion ready rig. I just ordered my first rig, an Axial ARTR combo from http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ they are offering several combo packs, you will have to read up on them to see what best suits you. The combos are for the AX-10 Scorpian but can be upgraded to the ARTR for another 60.00. But if you are thinking about a RTR, the Losi Night Crawler (LNC) has been getting pretty good reviews and the last I knew you could get a free Lipo battery with it. You would only need to buy a charger for the Lipo and you are good to go. Hope this helps a little, probobly just confused you more. But this is what I came up with after a couple weeks of research on here and lots and lots of reading. I hate to say it but there is no BESt way to go, everyone is different on what they like and dont. Good Luck! |

get an ARTR ax10 or a used axial roller then get all of this... it's cheap REALLY GOOD stuff that will get you started and keep you going to a long time.
