| longer links
ok i am working on a scale crawler. The body that i have is just a tad to long and I wanted to get longer links to make the wheels match up in the wheel wells better. I got some teflon spacers at lowes just so that i could find out if it would work and see how long i needed to get to make it look good. i got it them looking good but i lost some articulation. so my question is do i exstend the upper and lower the same amount or is there a ratio that they have to be? it is a 4link front and rear. i have moved the shocks out with the axils but it still binds up. i dont want something that looks good but performs like crap. is this something that can be done or should i start looking for a body that fits better? or im i just overlooking something simple that would make it work

First, what is binding during flex? Second, if you want to keep your current pinion angle, extend your upper and lower links the same amount. Third, post pic's, it's much faster to see what is wrong than try to guess from your description. |

I think that it is more the shocks that are binding where the shock shaft gose into the housing. i will post some pics as soon as i can.
