I need to figure out if I'm using going to use styrofoam and shape the rocks with some rhrinoliner to cover it or something else... Any Ideas or have you seen other options?

Not for sure but the rino stuff might give the truck to much traction and cause it not to be challenging or that much fun. Just a thought.

Good point. My wife suggested that i use some pieces of 1/4 split wood and some urethane expamdable foam.

expanding foam and chicken wire makes for a good surface. You can paint it or grade it to get the surface texture desired.

Nice ideas. Chicken wire on top of the plywood or just over the basic frame? I was thinking about styrofoam sheets and carving them to form some rock structures and then adding spray foam to help add some peaks and overall texture.

expanding foam will work really well, you can even tint it after spraying while its still wet or throw dirt and sand at it to give it a natural look.
