When the weather is good I try to crawl once a week. As for wrenching... I race 2wd buggy, 3.3 revo, 4x4 slash, 3 helicopters, 1 air plane, and a baja. I turn a wrench every now and then...

I try to drive at least one of my comp trucks once a week (usually about 4 packs per session)....but I regularly get to drive them more often.

Welcome to the world of crawling.

As far as how often do you practice??? As often as you can/want to. Minimum once a week. If you are able to the best thing to do is attend any local clubs and pic the brains of the drivers. I'm sure they will be more than willing to help you with any/all the questions you have.

Good luck and Have fun

I would like to run a couple of days a week with multiple packs each session.
Weather, work & light don't always make it easy though.

Practice is the cheapest thing you can do to get better.
-A great rig driven by a so-so driver may be a bit better than mid-pack.
-A great driver using a so-so rig can place at/near the top of the pack.

I work 70-90hrs a week....but I work on remote oil and gas leases and take my crawlers to work most days, so I get to drive 'em a lot!

Any day I have off and have a few hours of "me time" to call my own and the weather is permitting.
If all factors are in my favor,I can spend an entire morning or afternoon having fun.

i have an outdoor course but its too wet to do anything with (even practice on) until june. this time last year i had my rig parked until the ground dried out.. this year i have a friend with an indoor course so a bunch of us get together every 2nd weekend usually. i dont wrench much on my rigs unless they break. in the summer time when my course is dry i tried to get out there every night before it got dark.

track rat- i didnt know its possible to RACE helicopters or planes!!!

The place I go to run comps is two hours away, so I don't get to practice where I comp. But every week laundry has to get done, so while I've got that going, I'll crawl around the basement. Not nearly the same, but it scratches the itch.

Not enough with the weather being an issue. When the weather gets better 1-2X a week for 3-4 packs.

We've started going out every Sunday as a group. I have my own little pile in the back yard that I play around on when I change something through the week though.

If you're practicing by yourself its best to set gates as well as free crawl.

I've told customers you might think your're a total bada$$ free crawling but when you get into a comp situation its a whole different ballgame.

We only really get to drive when there's comps in the shop, so 4 times a week for us

I try to get out at least once on the weekends, but that's really weather-dependant this time of year in the Great White North eh. This year's been pretty good, so lots of practice, and I've been getting out 1 or 2 nights after work, too. I know I suck at crawling, so practice,practice,practice...

funny - I sell gas measurement equipment (meter tubes, GPUs, dehys, etc) for J-W Measurement and plan to throw my rig in the truck as often as possible

I practice only during competitions mostly.. Haha.

we usually have events or get togethers 3-4 times a month and thats the only time I drive.. I spend more time wrenching than driving.
