A lot of people ran the Badlands before the new crawler tires came out. Some liked em and some hated em. Compared to the new tires that are out, badlands don't hold a candle to most of the others.

Rovers and Leopards are by far the most popular right now, with the new hot bodies Sedonas finally being produced, there are more than enough capable crawling tires available!

I would agree that they aren't as good as the rovers, cougars, leopards, or some of the other new crawler times, but I ran them for a while before I got my panthers and they worked good.

I used them mainly on rip rap or busted concrete, and they did really well on that type of terrain. They will probably wind up on my stampede now that I am running rovers and panthers though.

that was my old comp tires, even after many of the new tires (claws, etc.) were avail, and i still did very good with the tires. When i went berg i wanted taller tires so i went with HPI grabbers, and kicked ass with those (still beating some rover tired rigs) which i think are the best production tire for my style of driving. I recently went back to pin type tires with my first home brew tires (calibers with axial sidewalls), and realised how much i loved that style of tire. Their biggest drawback is compound. If they had shorter lugs, and were offered in G8 or similar crawling compounds they would be unstoppable (they would also need to be 5.5-6" tall), however they fold too over much in m3, and are a bit harder than most like in m2...
