| Rock lights powered from balance plug?
I am getting a HH TorqueMaster as well as CC BEC in the morning so I'm trying to plan ahead here. This will be on a LNC that I have swapped a LCC tranny into. I will need the aux port for the dig servo, I was wondering if I could plug the Stock LEDs into the red/black of the balance plug when I need rock lights? I do alot of crawling at night because it fits my schedule better. The battery is a 3s 40c. Any other ideas for a better solution are welcome. Thanks! |

use a y harness for whatever you are plugging into your aux port on the Rx and plug your lights into the red and black of the y harness

Here's why,,the balance plug has wires that are used to read voltage from the individual cells in the pack,,if you connect to one cell you will unbalance the pack and it can catch fire

Ok, thanks for the warning and info. I thought it might be alright because I was told by MaxAmps that it was ok to plug the red/black of their 3s LVA into the red/black of the balance plug, as the battery tap I had didn't match theirs. I suppose that's not an apples to apples comparison, their LVA to 4 LEDs. I don't have a Y harness. If the LHS doesn't either, how about using te bind port? |

im not sure if the bind port uses the same pos/neg..if you have a meter you can check for continuity between the pos od the aux port and the pos of the bind port,,then check the neg of the aux port to the neg of the bind port,,if they are the same circuits then yeas you could since you are only tapping power,,if the pos/pos and neg/neg dont short together then dont use the bind port,,do the meter test with the power unhooked from the Rx to make sure you dont short anything out too
