Well first of all if your looking for scale then I would go with the Axial AX-10 axles. Plus there is alot of upgrades available for the Axial axles. The Novak would be a decent start for and Esc but would suggest a different motor. You will get a better low speed control with a higher Turn motor. Maybe something in the 45 to 55 turn. For the 4 link setup there is alot of information on here to show you how to do that. Just do a search for 4 link. For drive shafts...you can use the Traxxas Stampede shafts.

I think the RC4WD axles are more scale too.....but if you want to spend as little as possible, then the AX-10 axles would be better. If you are looking to go as cheap as possible, I'd steer away from buying new parts piece by piece. Take a look at the classifieds here, and either buy a good used roller or find the parts you want used. If you want new parts, then buy the SCX-10 kit for $205 and use the axles, transmission/motor mount, shocks, tires/rims and driveshafts. You say you want to build your own chassis, so sell the SCX chassis and body to get some of your cash back. If you bought those parts new individually, you'll spend WAY more than $205. The AX-10 axles you listed are going to be $80 by themsleves, so you are almost half way there in cost. Just a thought. |

yea, thats what i was thinking. so basicly find either a ARTR kit or a used roller. ok. cause i have a futaba radio, novak reactor usc and 2 BRAND NEW servos, rims/tires, and shocks, so basicly all i would need would be the trans/motor mount and like the car itself. so yea a roller. any recomendadtions?

| If yo have everything to complete a Kit, $200 for the axial kit, most people who have them don't resell them as a kit and do lots of mods that would put them out of the 200 range. As far as a top end price I hear that People have offered several Thousand for custom One off trucks. I know of an 8x8 truck thats been offered up in that range.

for a built truck worth a damn your looking at between 300 and 1000 depending on the level of detail and how broke the builder is at the time.
