Default Thinking about purchasing a Losi Night Crawler - have some questions...

CKRC has the Losi Night Crawler for $269.99 as a February Special... Seems like a pretty decent price, and no shipping charges on orders over $300... So, if I pick up a couple batteries and/or a charger, that would work out as well...

If I plan to buy one at some point, is that about the best price I'm gonna get? My local hobby shop has them for $340...

Anyone know what type plug the LNC has for battery packs? What kind of runtime/performance can I expect from these:

Also, thinking about this charger:

Anything else I will need to get up and running?

Thanks,

Troy

This pack passes over twice the amps to feed the hungry worms, those "punch" packs should be named "*****" packs. Oh yeah, same price.

You'll probably wanna pick up some Deans plugs or Losi plugs also, the LNC will come with a Losi plug on it. I'd get Deans as thats most common.

Thanks... What will I have to do connector wise to be up and running? I ask because my local hobby shop is an hour drive... I'm ordering everything online and don't want to be stuck waiting on a $2 item like a battery plug...

I'm not new to RC, I'm new to electric RC, so any help is greatly appreciated...

Thanks,

Male on the ESC and Charger (charger might come with one I don't know what plugs that one has) and female on the battery packs. You'll like the LNC, I've been helping my buddy set one up for his son, white dot rovers, a little weight and a slightly stronger servo and he's already got a sportsman win in his third comp. Seems to be a much stronger truck than the Axial.

if you're over an hour from your local hobby shop, it probably wouldn't hurt to have some extra pairs of those deans plugs too. it would suck to melt a plug on accident when soldering and not have a back up - chances are you'll use it down the road anyway.

for a charger, i went with an accucel-6. it works great on my lipos and nimh packs. it cost me $25 plus $15 for an a/c power source for it. it is the exact same (size, style, programming, etc) as my friend's venom which he paid a great deal more for. i would reccomend it.

2 - Hyperion G3 CX 1300 MAH 2S 7.4V 25C/45C LIPOLY PACK
1 - 1302 Deans Male Ultra Plugs (2)
