| MOA Wiring guide
This is my first time doing any kind of wiring and I haven't been able to find a wiring guide. All the obvious parts: 2 motors, BEC Servo ESC/dig in one unit (Not out yet. . . and yes i know I'll be waiting for a little while) battery Thanks, TC |

Well, it really depends on this ESC/dig unit and how it needs to be wired. Also, what Tx and Rx will you be using? If stick, how do you want to control the truck (both motors on one stick, separately, etc)?

So you plan to use this: http://www.teamnovak.com/products/m2_combo/index.html ?? If so, you can see how they wire it in this picture: To add an external BEC, just solder it into the battery leads and plug it into the AUX port on your receiver. |

yes but w/ different motors. . . I assume it's not going to come completely wired. What I really don't understand is the BEC and servo. . . how that comes together. . . I can see that that one is completely wired so simply putting the wires to the esc I clearly can do. . . but please explain the BEC.

Yep, you are overthinking it. The BEC is pretty simple to install. Some people wire them directly to the servo, and bypass the receiver, but here is how I wire mine: I have never had a problem with mine setup like this. |

No problem. That diagram should work for your entire setup...just keep in mind that you'll have wires for two motors coming out of the ESC.

| I really like this wiring. But I run a 3 cell lipo. Is the rx still going to get 11.1 volts. I'd so why couldn't you run two bec's. One to power the rx at 6 volts and one to the servo at 7.4 .

What this does....Whatever voltage/amperage your ESC's BEC pushes, that's what powers your receiver, dig and whatever else gets power from the receiver. Since most speed controls used push between 5-6 volts out of the BEC,you don't risk burning up the receiver. Since the voltage in the Castle BEC is adjustable and the red wire goes straight to the servo, you can pretty much run whatever voltage you want to your servo. I have all mine set at 7 volts. Even though my servos are only rated for 6 volts,I've found upping the voltage a little, mine run a little cooler. They get woke up a bit as well and push a few more ounces of torque. Upping the voltage, your at your own risk though. | |

| I was running that same servo on my Berg,at 7 volts. All I can say is it worked well for me. I know several others that have done the same. I put my 7955 on my rock racer and went to a JR9100 on the Berg. Still running my Bergs steering at 7 volts. The 7955 is rated at 333 oz. at 6 volts. At 7 volts, not real sure, but I'd guess somewhere closer to 400 oz. I don't really have anything to actually test that with, maybe someone else does?....

| I'd get something else than a rooster. Get either the hh esc or a mamba. The rooster just can't supply sufficient voltage a moa and i think it has a high turn limit so you'll have to run super slow motors on a 2s
