| Radio for VP dig
Thinking about the next update of my ARTR, I want to buy the VP dig, but I need to define the radio transmitter wich is suitable for the VP dig. I currently have a Hitec FM 3 channel Agressor Radio, but I think I can handle the VP dig all three positions whit this radio. With a budget of between $ 100 to $ 180 bucks, wich radio do you recommend to buy I also have the new 2.4 Ghz 4 channel Summit radio, could I put to work the VP Dig with this radio. Thanks for your help |

I am using the Spektrum DX3e radio in my rig with VP Dig and this is working great for me. Since I only have one crawker I currently do not have need to radio which can store different madels. I got a great deal on my DX3e at local hobby shop, only cost me $75.00 new, I think they made mistake in marking it and I questioned the price and they said yest that is correct. Would have purchased two if they had another.

I'm running the DX3R with the VP dig powered by a Hitec mini servo, works great! Setup of the endpoints is key to not burning up the servo. I have mine set so that when the servo is at rest (neutral position) 4 wheel drive is engaged. When powered up, it puts the unit into rear wheel dig. It took some careful dialing in with the trim settings to get it right, but no issues once it was set. The DX3R was the first new radio I have purchased in about a decade , and I LOVE it!

I have a Futaba 3PM which you can get for about $100 these days. Harley did a great writeup on how to set it for a 3 position dig, but my next radio will be the Futaba 3PM-X which barely makes it into your $180 budget. . |

Futaba 3pm-x, the thing I like is the you can select one of four switches to make your third channel. This makes it real easy to use.
