Which Crawler?????

Help me decide on my new crawler. I am considering a Losi comp crawler or another axial. I have crawled and loved the axial axles but am very interested in the Losi. Any feedback on a comparison or suggestion?

you wont be disappointed with a losi comp crawler

Losi Comp

I have a Axial ax10, Venom creeper and Losi comp. out of the box the Losi was, by far way better. Even with quite a bit of mods to the other two and only a spring and tire change to the Losi it out performs the others and would be my pick as the best of the three in the shafty world"thumbsup"

Are you referring to the Losi Night Crawler or another model ?

If you mean the Losi comp Crawler, what's the difference from the night crawler beside missing electronics ?

Thanks

There's more different between the two than the same. The links on the LNC are plastic, as are several other parts such as the hexes, while they are aluminum on the LCC. The shocks, tranny, driveshafts, battery and electronic mounts are different as well.

Cant go wrong with the Losi Comp Crawler. All around good buggy.

LCC with Axial driveshafts and shocks. Can't go wrong.

Is the losi comp crawler really better than then the night one to begin ?

In other words , I have already a transmitter + receiver then I have a brushed Revo stick ESC ( is it good for crawling ? ) , if I buy a motor for crawling ( HPI 55 ? ) + the Losi comp crawler it would be really better than the night one ? or the difference is not so high thet ethe bight is a better choice to simplify things ?

thanks

Night and Comp

The differance between the LCC and LNC is like night and day. The night crawler is just a basic crawler with a lot of (cheaper)different parts compared to the comp version. I believe the night version's transmission is not a front & rear dig unit like the LCC. To run the LCC Dig feature you will need a 3 channel radio with 3 position on the 3rd channel and a mini servo to work properly. I'm not familar with your ESC but I have used a 55t motor for a while, just keep the pinion gear under 15t and it shouldn't get hot

I have a Axial that I love and a very good friend has a Losi Comp they bot have there benifits but the losi seems to have a problem getting any wheel speed, batteries, motor, the worn drive is hard to turn. Just wanted to let you know.8)

Get the losi comp crawler and a good brushless system and you will e happy with it, I wasn't happy with mine till I got a goat system now I love it!

Thanks guys for your precious hints. I have few quick questions.

Is the 3 channel mandatory ? I assume the third channel is used to block the rear /front axis but considering that I am a crawling beginner I could start without this feature I think ..... dunno

Second, could you please suggest me a cheap crawling brushless combo to mount into the comp crawler if I'll choose that one ?

Thanks !

Is the dig lock a must for a noob ?

I already have a 2 ch transmitter......

Thanks

CobbCrawler 03-23-2010 07:48 PM

Lcc

The third channel is not a must but you would be missing out on one of the LCC's best features. You may have to make a bracket or link to keep the shifting lever in the center position of the dig unit"thumbsup"

yellowv22 03-25-2010 10:09 AM

go with the axial

Grumpster1980 03-25-2010 11:03 AM

Get the Creeper and with all the money you saved go out and buy something else.

I'm digging my RS10. My buddy bought an Axial just before I got it. He brought it over and got jealous right away. He sold it and bought an RS10. He still had 100 bucks left over to use for mods for it.

BLKXJ 96 03-25-2010 07:52 PM

Get and axial "thumbsup"
