| Stock esc vs 2s lipo...
Can it be done? Will a stock Axial esc handle a 2s lipo? |

The Axial ESC should be good to at least 7-cell NiMH which is 8.4V. A regular 6-cell pack is 7.2V and a 2S lipo is only .2V more at 7.4V. Long story longer: yes, it should be fine. But you won't have a low-voltage cutoff. |

Yes, the axial AE-1 esc is fine up to 2 lipo. Down the road you can depending on what you plan to do, upgrade it (so that you have brake, lipo cut, run 3 cell or greater lipo, etc).

actually a fully charged 2s lipo will be 8.40v, which is equal to a 7-cell NiMH @ 8.40v. so yes, if it can handle a 7-cell NiMH, you are good on the 2s lipo. get an external low voltage cut-off for $15-20 i believe, or do what i did for my wife's blitz and purchase a low voltage alarm for $2-3 on ebay. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories this thing will SCREAM at you before you get near an unsafe voltage on your lipo. | |
