Default If your new

If your new and you want some good advice to compete in rc crawling before you buy anything go to a local club event talk to the good folk that crawl. I would have save 200 to 300 bucks if i woulda done that and still saved alota loot buy doing it a little later. You dont wanna be that guy that builds a 1000 dollar super class to find out that not many folks in your area run them. If your building a crawler for fun and you dont plan on competing build it how ya want it. If your gonna compete you probally wanna go with the class most common in your area and then you gonna get alotta good advice on a build. I am only sharing this because the group of guys that I have met since recently starting the hobby have been the best ambassadors to thier craft in my lifes experiences. Hope this helps somebody not only save loot but make some good friends too.

Some good advise there, thanks for posting it. As I was told this as well by members on here. Thought it would be a good idea to bump it up for all to read.

I would also check out the regional forums as well. I have read good info in there as well as found out about local comps going on.

Good post Steve, We are very lucky to have the guys and girl in our area to crawl with and help each other out.

Default Great post

Seams simple, but I think it is something people don't consider. I went hog wild on a scaler, only to find out most local people all run comp cralwlers! Still love my scaler though. Now I just have to build a crawler. Thank god the wife doesn't know how much these "toys" cost!
