| AX-10 AX90004 ARTR-need parts???
Long time lurker, but first real post. I received an AX-!0 for my birthday and now I'm dying to put this thing together. I've read many posts and everyones got an opinion. I have no plans for doing any comps at this time. My question is with a $250-300 budget where would you put the $$$ for this build: (note-I have to buy all of them) REQUIRES: 1) Radio: 2-Channel with 1 Servo 2)Speed Control: Electronic speed control with On/Off switch 3)Motor: 540/550 size 4)Battery: 7.2V 6-cell stick pack with standard connector 5)Charger: AC/DC timed or peak for 6-cell battery 6)Anything I forgot? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!! |

try to buy as much as you can used like transmitter esc servo charger and buy new batteries and new motor 45-55T cus all but batteries and motors are parts that should be usable bought second hand try getting a used FXR esc from Tekin DX2.0 transmitter from Spektrum charger is whatever u need it for(migth be smart to buy a Charger that can charge lipo right away, cus ull eventually buy some lipos i think) servo is everything around 300oz/inch or what ever you feel u need |

I would recommend going for a 3 channel radio setup instead of 2 channel, in case you decide to add a dig later on.

Well, after much debate and reading, I may return this one and channel $5-600 into a used one( an AX-10 or LCC). I think I'd get a lot more out of it. Now I just need to find my way to the classifieds...

eventually you'll probably want to get a dig. the airtronics mx3 sport is a 3 channel for $80 (i don't have any personal experience with this). also the spektrum dx3e is only $100 and would have EVERYTHING you want for a crawler (only catch is this is a one car radio, no multi-model memory). both radios are 2.4 also. good luck and have fun. | |
