Default ESC or Batt Problem

Hi all,

I am having some problems with my crawler. It could be my pack is shot, since my Novak Ionic always seems to do a false charge, but my pack still reads 7+ volts when it comes off the charger. I have a sidewinder esc BTW. My crawler can go fine on flat ground but once I go to crawl up an obstacle it can't do it. Sometimes it goes good the whole time, sometimes more than an hour. but most times it crawls fine then just dies, even with more than 7 volts.

Also, I have a CC BEC and was wondering how to set the voltage to it, since it could be a problem with the batt draining fast.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Jeremiah

If you are running nimh or nicd, then 7v is dead! a fully charged stick pack will read in the 9v range and a 7 cell will be in the 10v area. You should try a new battery, I bet that's your problem...

Go with lipos, lighter for less topcenter weight, plus power increase and longer drive time, not to mention longevity!!

Thanks guys,

Been driving it for awhile since it happened and is getting worse and worse. Looks like a Lipo is in my near future!
