Default 7 Cell pack in a 6 cell ESC in a Crawler??

Ok i did a search to warn off all flamers on here, now I have a LOSI ESC with a max input of 7.2V but i was wondering if a 7 cell pack would work due to the fact that im not FULL THROTEL when crawling. Just looking for a bit more run time.... besides upgradeing. going all out speed on a 7 cell i can see being a problem because its sending more juice to the ESC but if im crawling would it still burn it up?

Thanks.

Always taking a risk when going beyond the manufactures specs. There are people out there running 11.1v 3s Lipo on a 7.4v 2s novak goat with great success. However your voltage increase to 8.4 isn't that much of a jump, but you will however be using the full voltage wether or not your using no throttle or full throttle. You just might now be drawing as many amps but you will if you try and power through a binding situation. I say give it a try and if it goes up in smoke, upgrade!

You will not get more run time by using a higher voltage battery. Voltage = power, Amps = run time.

What you need is a 6 cell with a higher mAh rating.
