Just got the scx-10

Yay! My scx-10 just came in the mail and now with that being said I guess I have to get a battery and a charger, anyone have recomendations on reasonably priced equipment? Bear in mind we are not going pro we are just playing in the backyard, lets hear em!

Also anything I should take care of first on it, anything to address? Iam still waiting on the cherokee body to be released so that will be next. I guess I have to learn to paint now.

Ebay has some pretty sweet deals on batteries, As far as chargers go i use the Dynamite prophet sport. Its like 30 bucks and its not a bad charger for the money. I dont know a lot about the crawler you bought other than the obvious things like weighting the wheels and lowering the cog anyway you can but im sure you are aware of all that already.

Anyway hope this helped some ;)

Do you plan on going Lipo?

If not: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXCLD5&P=ML

Put some lock tight on the set screws on the drive shafts. Otherwise they will be coming off all the time and will not stay tight. Have not had a problem since I did mine.

Will do next. Just moved the battery tray tonight.

I actually have both of these chargers, and they both work great. Only thing with the Onyx and lipos is it isn't a balance charger, so you have to have a separate balancer. No biggie, just FYI.

I would go to valuehobby.com pick up one of the b6 chargers and some 2s lipos. Once you go lipo you won't go back. I'm tired of cells taking a dump on my nimh and nicd's, plus I like how the power stays up throughout the battery, where as nimh and nicd's dump hard throughout the run. I was nervous about lipos at first with all the horrow stories about blowing up and whatnot, but after I got some and used them, I will NEVER run nimh or nicd's again. So go with some lipos and call it a day"thumbsup"
