I want to get into LiPos I have been thinking about making the switch to LiPos and I finaly have an extra 150.00. So for the $150.00 I want to get a charger and 2 or 3 batteries. for chargers I am looking at some hobby king stuff like http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...rger_1-6_Cells or http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...lancer/Charger I have even thought of going a bit higher in price but am unsure of what I get for the money. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...alance/Charger As far as batteries I want at least 1 3s and 1 2s I see these cheep packes and wounder if they are any good http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=7363 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=10278 any sugestions are great thanks |
the imax b6 is a good charger but the accucel isnt very good long term and depending how much shipping is i would look at valuehobby.com. they are us based so shippin wont take weeks and still are cheap |
I have a hyperion EOSO610i and love it, even though that one particularly is probably out of your price range. But I have never heard anything bad about the brand. I'm also pretty sure with all those you'll a power supply. Which are like 15-30 bucks depends on which one you get and can be purchased from radio shack or a online store like holmes hobbies or cheapbatterypacks, also check those out too! And as far as lipo's I have ran e-flite, thunder power, max amps and turnigy. So far turnigy is my favorite, For the price they cant be beat! And make sure you buy a balancer, I use a blinky. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMRZ9&P=FR and you buy the little adapters to get a good fit on your balancer plug. |

I agree get a good charger, the batteries in question are good I use the rhino 2350 3s for a mini cat racing hydro boat and a turnigy 1800 2s for the mini rio they both work awesome no problems. |

When I first got into remote control cars,I tried several "cheapie" chargers. Yeah, they worked but I noticed my packs seemed to get weaker the more I charged them. Never got the kind of run times others were getting with the same battery and set up in the car as others were getting. After reading allot and learning about batteries and different chargers,I finally stepped up to a good quality charger. With the same old packs I had then,I instantly seen an improvement in run times, performance and power. In electric RC,a good charger will make a HUGE difference in performance and longevity of your batteries. I chose the Hyperion chargers and couldn't be happier. They flat out work awesome and are the simplest to use. I use the Hyperion EOS0606I DC and the Hyperion EOS0606I AC/DC and am pretty much covered with anything I'll ever need to charge. I even use them for charging the rechargeable AAA's and AA's around the house. Batteries,I use the Holmes Hobbies 25C 1300mah lipo's in everything I have at the moment and couldn't be happier. |
Definitely get a good charger. I also use the Hyperion. It's worth the money. You can always buy a battery here and there if you don't have enough cash right now to get more than one plus the good charger. It's worth the investment."thumbsup" |
battery wise look at valuehobby batteries they are located in ILL and shipping is quick |
We have everything in stock and can get you setup with the Hyperion 0606i AC/DC, lipos, and adaptor for around 150. We have the best price around on the charger. Also, our Thunder Power packs are great quality and are a great pack for the price. We are located in the US so shipping is fast! Let us know how we can help. Either send me a PM or email me at Jason@KrawlerHobbies.com and we will get you setup! -Jason |

I alway bought from Hobby King until i found out about www.valuehobby.com . It's all the same (mostly) re-badged stuff just value hobby is in Illinois and shipping is $3.99 for ANYTHING! It's a bit more expensive but by time you ship from China it's the same and you don't have to wait 2 weeks. ...I guess i should have read the other post this has already been mentioned. |

I use this: http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html I use it to charge everything from Micro-t batts top Slash batts. Both Lipo and Nimh and its does a fine job. People on RCTech forum raved about it and I agree it is awesome. |
thanks for all the info. I would definatly get my stuff sooner rather then latter. I will give happypartz or valuehobby a try. As for a charger i think i am leaning toward a Hyperion EOS0606I DC but if i need a power suply would i be bett off going with a ac/dc model? |

99% of the time,I'm charging 2 trucks at the same time, mine and my sons. Having 2 chargers is best for me. Since we charge more off my truck than the wall,I opted to buy the DC version for my 2nd charger. The balance taps on the Holmes 1300's work fine with the balance adapter that comes with the Hyperion chargers. I've let guys charge up their Zippy packs on my chargers and they'll plug up to the factory balance adapter as well. |

The only downfall is that the key must be on accessory for it to run. One of these days I'll wire that outlet directly to the battery... |

I'm using a Vision Peak Ultra. I'm steppin gup to 4s soon so since it can't charge over 3s I'll need a new one. I like my Vision Peak Ultra though. It'll charge NiCad, Nimh and up to 3s Lipos. As far as Batteries, I have run Thunder Power 1320 3s. They're Okay but I've just discovered Hyperion's new G3 Lipos. WOW You can charge them at5 times th erate of normal lipos. Their bursts are off the chain and they're cheap. I'm using Hyperion G3 Vx 3 cell 1100mah packs. They're rated 35C constant/65C BURST:shock: , they charge in 15-20 minutes. Oh yeah, they're only 27.95 |
i have the thunder ac6 from hobbypartz.doing pretty good so far.i also have the blue lipos from hobbypartz, they balanced up perfect and no complaints yet. |

The Thunder AC6 has to be the best charger for the price. |
