| which is better TEKIN or NOVAK ?
I was wondering what you guys opinions were on the fxr pro setup and the novak rooster or goat setup ON AN AX10? And has anyone use the tower hobbies ts-170 servo? Good or bad?

I love my fxr. It is buttery smooth, and super adjustable. Don't buy something that will limit you to 2s.

FXR is tiny and takes 3S lipo if you have a 35t or higher. Very easy to program with seperate LED's for each setting. I havent had a Novak crawler ESC, but if its programing has the same light system that my GTB has, it is very annoying |

Sounds like the fxr is the way to go! Is the pro worth the extra money? What is the diff. between it and the regular fxr?

just between those two...FX-R hands down. mind a few other sugestions? If your strickly going brushed take a look at this.... http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...4&cat=2&page=1 If you EVER have a plan to go brushless(run's brushed as well) then look here... http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...2&cat=2&page=1 Edit to add, I haven't used the ts-170... it's the same as the hobbico cs-170 or the hitec HS-5955TG... it should do you just fine. Pro is not needed unless you have some bad A** motors with a lot of draw. I run just a regular FX-R in my Berg with twin tekin 45T's with no problems. If you plan to run a 3s lipo you need a B.E.C

thanks for the input guys i think i am going to go with the reg. fxr since the pro is not really needed. i am just going to do the occasional comp and prolly run in the sportsman class. i will only be running 2 cell lipo anyway! does this sound good?

What motor you planing on running? with 2's lipo i'd go with a nice 35T for the wheel speed...45T or 55T will work as well IF you don't like very much wheel speed |

I run the fxr. I used to run a rooster when I first got into crawling. I think the Rooster is like the gateway crawler esc. The fxr is for people that really want adjustability. Cant stress this enough, the fxr does allow 3s but better run a BEC or you'll be hitting thermal all day long.

i dont think there is a need for 3s so i will get the fxr and run a nice 45t so i can still crawl but still have some decent wheel speed.
