Default How long should my run time be?

Im still getting the kinks worked out on my ax10 but I have a few questions.
Im running a Novak 3S goat, 18.5 brushless, RC4WD dig, CC BEC and 2200 3S lipo.
I seem to get maybe 20 min or less run time on this setup at crawling speed. Is this about right?

I also notice, the esc gets quite hot as well as the motor ~ 140 deg by the time I turn it off and let it cool.I havent pushed it further to see how hot it will really get? Im running a tuber and the ESC has a fan on it. It seems as if it is getting hotter than it should.

Im not used to this config. my other rig has a Novak rooster and 35T integy with 5000 mah 2S and it seems to stay cool and run for about an hour.

Sounds like something is wrong. I'm running a Tekin brushed set up in my Honcho with a 2200 2s battery with a 35T motor and get about 1 1/2- 2 hrs of run time. Though I'm not running a dig but I don't think that should make a big difference. Plus my esc or motor doesn't get that hot.

Make sure you don't have any drag on the drivetrain...you should be getting close to an hour of runtime I would think...

You should be getting about 40-45 minutes from that pack. What are the cont. and burst C ratings of the battery your using ?

Check that pinion gear mesh. If it's fine, take the pinion gear off or back the motor off and give the drivetrain a spin. Won't spin forever, but it should spin freely. Try that.

Thats plenty of battery, sounds like there's some drag somewhere. Where's your drag brake set, when I tried to max mine with a 2s goat ESC and motor temps woukd get real high and I ended up setting the drag at 3 or 4 to keep the heat down.

i dont remember where I set the drag at, but i'll check that, the pinion backlash seems ok, theres a little gap between gears, 'ill check that again as well. it actually rolls more freely than my rooster/35t on my SCX10 which feels more notchy but that one runs cool, and quiet. I'm attributing that to the plastic gears and the higher pitch I'm assuming.
