Hi, This is my first day of being a member. I was just at a friends house and tried his crawler. well what can I say I want to build on now. So I am looking at the Venom creeper kit. I was also looking at buying the Venom VR3T 3-Channel "2.4Ghz" Transmitter & Receiver. I want to keep it kind of budget. But I don't think it comes with anything as far as electronics and I was really just hoping to find a checklist of the equipment I will need. I will do the further research on what I want when I know what I need to get. Thanks in advance for all the help. HM |

This venom radio seems like a decent unit. You can also check RC4WD. They too make budget 2.4Ghz radios. For the rest I would suggest a simple integy 45T lathe motor for 15$ to 20$, a Hitec 645MG can be bought for 20$ on Ebay. Last you can get away wit a cheap controller (ESC), but I strongly suggest against that. Used roosters can be had for 50$ or less and will cover most of your needs while you start in this hobby. Welcome aboard my friend! |

So I am looking at this for the ESC: http://rc4wdstore.com/2/product_info...f15e54aeca0d45 I think I am going to gowith the venom radio and receiver. this is the kit i am getting: http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/venomcre...en-p-1406.html Motor: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...wler-Motor-55T Servo: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-w-Metal-Gears Battery: ProTek R/C 6-Cell 7.2V NiMH "Speed" Micro Battery Pack (1600mAh). How much more run time would I get with a 7 cell rather than the 6? Does this look like it will be all that I need? or am I missing something? |

That servo sucks man ! Its only 125oz . You should get the rc4wd high torque servo . Its only a few dollars more but you get 220 oz . Also the run time on a 1600 mah battery will be short . Look for something with about 3600 mah . I love the Creeper kit but do the research and make sure to assemble the axles right . Good luck and welcome to RCC and the hobby .
