Thumbs down scx10....?

My scx10 shuts down sometimes and wont work, usually when im crawling something and the steering gets bound up....it sometimes will start back up again if i turn the direction i was turning when it stopped moving...others it just wont go and i have to turn the controller of and back on then it works? anyone know whats happening?

That is your ESC. The internal BEC (battery eliminator circuit) is being overloaded and sucking power from the motor and trying to send it to the servo.

An external BEC, like the Castle Creations unit, will help out a great deal with this situation.

Which one should i get...I have a novak 55t with a 12t pinion gear, and 2.2 swamp dawgs?

The 10 amp model for about $20 is what I run, it will cure the cutout/glitching when the wheels are turned.

Castle only sells 2 different BECs. The CCBEC and the CCBEC Pro. The original CCBEC is more than sufficient for your rig.

Yeah, as it was said, get the small blue one. I run the Pro in my super and it is WAY overkill.....

I run the blue castle one in my scx10/scorpion crossover with the Sidewinder ESC and haven't had any problems. The sidewinder esc is nice because you can completely customize your throttle along with other adjustments.
