Default crawl rsvp etiquette

Is there an unwritten rule for crawl rsvping? If someone posts a new crawl, do you just show up without replying to the thread or do you reply so they know how many to expect? If you can't make it do you just ignore the thread?

What's the general concensus?

Do you mean showing up to a get together that was organized? If so, i would at least say your planning to show up. Nobody is going to ask you to leave if you dont, but alot of times if there isn't stated interest from other people, it wont happen and you will be all alone.

I say that if someone is nice enuff to try and orginize a GTG, you should post up that you are going to be there, and if you can't make it after saying you are going to be there then post up that you can't make it.

I agree here . You should let the organizer/s know that you plan to make it . Things run smoother when they can try to plan around an estimated number . Personally , I feel that you should RSVP on anything you are invited to . With the exception of major events .

welcome to RCC by the way . This site rocks !!!

This is what I usually do. I have just shown up when I saw that a few people are going to be there before also. I had a great time after the initial beat down.
Ok, I made that last part up.
