Default new guy with a crawler king defender

For starters i would like to say hi to everyone there are a great deal of info and projects out there that are realy nice. So a bit about myself i am a Land Rover freek love them to death have two myself a 1996 Disco and a 1969 Series. A freind of mine is into slot cars and wanted to stop by the hobby shop and get something for it so i went over to the rc stuff and found a the ck defender well $250 dollers latter i walked out with it. i know most of your guys feelings on it and i am working to make it better. i have done a stearing swap on it and tonight fliped my tires and put a hpi reduction gear box in it. i have plans to rear stear it and 4 link it soon. anyone have any good sugestions for me of upgrades i should do to it.

p.s. i am also planing on milling up a metal frame for it when i get time. i am not a fan of a lot of plastic.

Hey Sam,

I am in the same boat you are in. I bought the CK Defender as well. I want to scale it up as much as possible but I am having a hard time figuring out what to get as well.

Here is one of my other post's that may give you some ideas on what to get.

to make it crawl better like it is put spacers inside the shocks, mount the servo for steering on the axle and weight the whels orum under hpi wheely king
