Default Oil in Internal Spring Shock?

I might know the answer to my question already but, I just want to get some more opinions on this. I recently purchased some internal spring shocks like the Scale ones that RC4WD makes. My question is do I need to run oil in them? They didnt come with oil in them, they have a thick red grease in them. I would think you have to just so they dont bind or hesitate. Thanks

I think oil is always a good idea, as it dampens the ride better. Takes most of the "bounce" away.

Yes, the oil and grease won't mix too well. Use a Q-tip to get most of the grease out then use simple green or acetone to finish cleaning out the shock bodies.
