Default 3s lipo on HH 30t

I just got the 30t engine from HH and really love it. I also decided to go to Lipo and after reading I want to do it right and get 3s. My questions is I have the FXr esc see and I am wondering if thats ok. I am a little confused though if I can or if it would hurt anything.I know it says it can do 35 or higher so does that mean 45, and they say down to a 35 so it can do 10 down to 35. Sorry just confused.
Thanks

Yeah, that should be fine. They are rated for 35t on 3s, but watch your heat and you should have a very reliable combo.

I have a bully with 2 HH30t with 12t pinions on 3s with a FXR and it has been running gine now for maybe 6 months so far. you will be fine. HH makes some badass motors for a good price.

This setup is sweet. Just for kicks and giggles would it hurt anything if I tried the Axail 27t on 3s. What should I watch for, heat from the ESC or the engine? With the 30t engine it would get a little warm nothing major and the esc was perfectly fine.

Do yourself a favor and stick with the Holmes
motor. The stock axial motors are weak and the drag break with them
Sucks. Even with an fxr.

I agree with you on that. I have two trucks one with a 35 and one with a 30 engine. I like racin with my buddies so I want them to be the same speed. I figured I have one 27 engine and they are cheap I would just get another one and that way I could save my crawler engines and it would be less ware on them.

As long as you aren't running them with retarded timing, they will be fun until they burn up! Gear them low at first and watch the heat if you care about them.
