I think I need to trim the foams in the tires. They feel a little full I guess would be the term. I think I should trim the inside area of the foam since I added extra diameter to the rim with the bead lock mod. Just my theory though. Very hard to find definitive information on foams. I would just hate to do it wrong. Haha.

Ok. I took the plunge and trimmed my foams. Started with small cuts 16 pt. pattern. Put them back together and wow. Just when I didn't think it could be any better than it was. Tires conform to the rocks like I thought they should. Call me greedy but I may trim a little more tomorrow. Ran two packs through it, this much fun should be more expensive!! Gonna order up some New foams I case I go too far with these. I've been directed towards crawler innovations. I almost look forward to taking it all apart again. Haha.

1:10 scale bodies will be to wide for these axles. I have a new bright Harley f150 hard body that fits nice I can let go cheap. I might have a hummer h2 that fits it too

I have a toyota body that is close fit but 9 1/2 inch wheelbase. It's a old radio shack body. I'd be willing to to trade something.

OK i picked one of these for my 4 year old, for the money it has a lot of part much more expensive rc's don't come with rtr. I need a servo asap we are celebrating Christmas with in laws at thanksgiving. The first run to test it one minute in the stock one let out the magic smoke. I need one as close to stock as possible that I can buy on my drive to in laws house. If I had more time id make a plate and install a bigger better hitec servo. suggestions would be very helpful.

Ok I figured it out on my own. I picked up a hitec 225bb servo. I weighted the wheels and installed the locking aluminum wheel hex's from my scx10. I will need to tackle the steering upgrades after Christmas.

Did you make a new mount for that ? You got a picture? I need to make the 4 links also. i put 70 wt shock oil in and that helped with torque twist.

Its not a bad little rig for the money. Just needs some tuning and a motor with some more power.

i started with one of these. the best upgrade was the venom fireball motor. Just use a smaller pinion gear unless you want to ride wheelies and shoot 4 wheel rooster tails all over. I actually regret getting rid of mine because It was so cheap I never worried about hurting it.
