When I first did mine there was a little play with the outer axle in the knuckle I filed a little cvds so that the bearing made more contact with the outer drive axle. I never tried installing with the stock EMS dogbones and cups. All my stuff showed up in the same order and I only wanted to take the axles apart once because I was through bolting the housings. I can't find any faults in the combination that I am running.

Can you switch out the losi Mrc chassis with the 16. That would give you 4 link set up. I was thinking about using my son's 16 axles on a Mrc chassis.

I am using a chaotic crawlers chassis designed for the MRC and a gatekeeper skidplate/transmount that Is also for the MRC. However the four link conversion is easily done with parts available for the maxstone. The mounting pattern of the transmission is different between the two but 2 of the holes do line up.

I believe that the guy who started this thread used an ABdesigns chassis for an MRC. It was a complete bodiless competition style chassis. It thought it turned out awesome myself. It's to bad that there are no comps for these in my area. I think mine is a quite capable crawler and I would like to see how it fares against something it's own size.

The MRC used 4mm input/output shafts in the trans and axles. The maxstone uses 5mm so they are not directly interchangable with each other. But there is no reason you can't use an MRC chassis.

My 4 year old drives my deadbolt and I gave him the maxstone 16 and he goes almost every where I go we are both new to crawler seen. We've been racing stadium trucks and buggies. I read this fourm I keep missing the part about how to 4 link it. Or mainly where you attach the lower end of them.

On the four link you will need to order replacement servo linkages. You will need four total. And some ball stands. The round ones with the threaded ends. And a stock servo mount (plastic) is fine. Take the long tubes from the stock upper 3 link and thread the servo linkage tube into that. Replace the bent rod end with the other straight end from the servo linkage. Drill two holes into the servo mount on the bottom side and screw your ball stands in. You can adjust your pinion angle with where ou drill the holes in the servo mount.

I am running 1.9 X locks from rc4wd. And MRC wheel with the beadlock mod ring inside. Tires are really good! Got wheels and tires new for 30$

I've done the mounting at the axles a couple different ways.

The stock rims are a touch smaller than 1.9. I think the mud slingers are one of the only 1.9 tire that fits the stock wheel well.

I finally got Jr's motor installed! I put in a latrax 28t 380. I will have to change the pinion gear or spur I may run hot . To late tonight to mess with further. Well worth the 10 bucks.

OK so i browsed threw here and I must have missed it. Is there any upgraded or stronger drive shafts for the max stone 16 ? The motor I installed last night killed the shafts in under 5 min. I saw the aluminum ones on nitrorcx they are proud of them . Will mrc drive shafts fit ? Thanks for any help!

I think if I remember rightly the MRC has a 4mm output put the max stone 16 has 5mm so it won't be a direct fit. Anyone confirm this as I'm not 100% certain?
