You might be able to use axial or traxxas driveshafts. I use traxxas shafts on my trail stomper scaler and they have been very tough.

@snapon boy. Exceed has aluminum shafts on Nitros website. But you can use any 5 mm shaft that is the same length.

I'm think about using Mrc mip shafts and drilling out 1mm. I guess I'm crazy.

My whole maxstone has been an exercise in modification. So why not drill them out. Haha. I am using junfac shafts myself. I believe that someone in this thread used the mrc MIPS and machined out the ends. A few used traxxas shafts also.

It's done the same as the front axle. You have to shave the housing down the bearing is housed in the axle on the maxstone but not the MRC so make sure that you get the 3 racing version or the MRC or vaterra slickrock plastic pieces that have the 2 piece carrier and lock out. I used the GPM aluminum one and shaved down stock chubs but it was very sloppy so I ordered plastic losi lockouts with solid rear shafts for an mrc pro. Much better.

Here are some photos of them and a before and after. With the wheels widners added to the maxstone 16 a axial ax 10 is only about 10mm wider either side

No problem. The c hubs and knuckles are both the upgradable alum ones for the maxstone not from the MRC

Hi all, this is my first post here, I've been a long time reader on the forums. I've read this thread a couple of times and love the wealth of info on here. Anyways here's pics of my sorta scaler chassis for my redcat everest-16 (same as exceed).

Im running a hobby king 2445 3200 kv brushless motor on 4s with a 1/8 scale esc. The esc is 80 amp and complete overkill but i wanted to be able to run 4s for when i want the wheel speed.
