Holmes Hobbies motors, Either 35 or 45 turn, Best set up currently for esc's and radio would a 2 tekin (small, powerful, relaible) fxr's and a futaba 4pk (futaba is comming out with a new radio the 4pl soon, half the price of the 4pk) You can also do a dx3r and teakin fxr and a punk dig, Servo's- hitec 7950, 7980 (10% larger) over 400oz at 6v Use a castle BEC to run your servo. Thats my choices. |

that setup above would be good for an moa crawler but with a shafty the list is very similar. the servos are good choices but only one 35t-45t motor is needed and only one fx-r or a holmes hobbies br-xl esc are great choices or even a mamba max or sidewinder. for a radio the 4pk is great for moa but on a shafty something with 3 channels is all thats needed for a dig if you want one sometime so for a radio i like the futaba 3pmx. batteries you should look at 3s lipo around 1300-1800mah with atleast 20-25c or more

ESC, hands down, the Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster BR-XL It'll handle dang near anything you'll ever wanna throw at it. No need for a external BEC. It's also fully adjustable via PC. Motors, 35T or 45T Holmes Hobbies handwounds Servo's, I currently run HS7955TG's and a couple JR 8711's on my trucks and have had great luck with them. RCP Crawlers has them for a good price right now. |
