Default how do i connect the ESC, BEC & battery??

I have seen the article on this site relating to this topic and came up with this but wanna make sure its right before doing this. Dont want to cook anything!! Help appreciated!!

OFF RECIEVER:
B = N/A
1 = STEER
2 = ESC
3 = DIG
4 = ???
MODIFYING STEER SERVO FOR CC BEC:
A. Cut the POWER/GRND wires from the servo.
B. From the RECIEVER the only wire from this plug being used will be the signal to the servo
C. The VCC/GRND from the steering servo will go directlly to the CC BEC component.
**When this is all connected/soldered together you will have the VCC/GRND doing nothing from the Rx.**
Power/Grnd from servo will go to a secondary plug (found one off a fried servo), this will run to the BEC.

I just orderded my BEC and thought I would just ask on this thread, since it seems the original issue is sorted, will most recievers handle the 7.whatever volts this unit can pump out? thank you.

the way you drew will not work, its amazing that you think it even would, you need a positive and a negitive to the BEC for it to even get power, your drawing shows the positive going in one end out the other. not gunna work.

both the power wires of the BEC need to be hooked up to the corosponding power wires on your power source..... refer to the drawings you've alteady seen.

Yep, that should do it. I just wired up my BEC tonight, basically just like that (but without the deans). The thing I did not really understand is where to connect it to the receiver. I put it in the AUX port, but it appears the BND port will work just the same. Is there any reason not to put it in the AUX port on the receiver?
