| exceed maxstone 10 question
i just got my maxstone in today. apparently exceed upgrades these things without telling anyone. mine already has a metal geared servo, 3 ch 2.4ghz radio and it sure seems to have drag brake. truck is also 4linked front and rear. still has bad torquetwist, but it came with 2 sets of springs. my question is, can i run lipos? it has a 7.2 1800 nihd battery from factory. just dont want to burn up esc. also the controller has a charging port, but says it only uses aa's and doesnt include a charger. could it be converted to rechargable? thanks in advance for your help.

talked to the guys at ckrc today. they said it would be fine to run lipos as long as i put the low voltage switch on to keep from hurting the battery. still no answer on the radio though. sticker next to port says 6v 250mA yet it calls for AA's. truck is running great. i highly recommend this to new crawlers especially. my friend and his sons have losi nc's and ax10. they were impressed with the features and build quality. then they freaked out when i told them the price.

| glad to see another max 10 owner yes they did a lot of upgrading on it and it is very nice for the money i have had mine for a wile now and run it almost every day as for the charging port on the controller ya i was wondering about that too. i think you might be able to but rechargeable AA in there and just charge form there but not 100% sure but my AA i put in there lasts a really long time any way so not done any thing about it yet let me know how things go with your max 10 and have some fun |

ya is great bang for your buck 1. 3 ch 2.4g controller 2. metal gear servo 3. 4 link 4. metal gears in axle 5. rear steer set-up (just need servo & plate) 6. soft, hard, med springs 7. spring pre loaders despite what a few people think (ax lover's) this is rig that with very few small tweaks is a great rig |

after some digging i found that the controller is identical to the hk-gt2 made by hobby king. only difference is, actual hk uses all 8 aa's to make it 12 volt while ours only uses 4.

i got mine yesterday. it says 6v on port. and looking at the hobbyking rx/tx again, it says the controller is 2 channel and the resiever on the car is 3 channel. what would be the purpose of that?
