Default Exceed Madstones or Venom Creepers ?

I need 2 crawlers, one for me, one for my son.

Would you get Exceed Madstones or Venom Creepers ?

If the Madstones, would you get 1/8 or 1/10th ?

If I got the 1/8ths, I'd be more inclined to spend money on mods.

We'll be mainly crawling for fun, not competitively. These are our first trucks.

Thanks

I would personally get the creeper. its a fun truck just the way it comes from the factory, and down the road if you decide to become more competitive you will have the ability to.

The Exceeds are RTR, and can take axial parts.

But then the Venom's have much more abilities straight out of the box, but are not RTR. The Venom is a kit and you would need to provide your own electronics.

I have the creeper and i love it, it goes anywhere my freinds 1000 dollar crawlers go and i've got about 400 in mine including the kit, electronics and a few up-grades

Where is this thread ? The Venoms do have some weak spots, but I'm sure they can be overcome.

i started my 2 youngest kids with the exceed 1/10 shaftys.they love them and they only have a few mods.i added the stronger springs and added fuel tubing to the inside of the shocks to lower the center of gravityand to deal with the torque twist.we added proline bug bodies and hb rovers i bought on here in the for sale section.check for the exceed picture thread i started and see for yourself.it is in the general section i think.
