Default What Should I Purchase?

At this time I have about 700 dollars to spend on a new RC crawler and I already have 2 ax-10's and a honcho. I was wondering how much money it would cost and what electronics and accesories I would use to build a scale of my Dads new XRRA buggy he is building. Also, what size tubing I should use to build a chassis. If pictures are needed for this, I will post some but as of now None are in our computer documents. (I'm 13 years old) I have not built any RC Crawlers from the ground up so i pretty much have no idea what i'm doing. If anyone could make a list of items i would need to build a scale from the ground up and price range, that would be great.
Thanks, Dillon

Hate to tell your dad, but XRRA is gone, waste of building a new buggy if that is what he was building for.

Are you set up for tools yet? If not, that will probably eat a large chunk of your budget.

The same reason a 14 year old had $2000 + to blow on 2 rigs.

I believe he means ECORS...and this is him and his dad's FTOY...I got mixed up who he was the first time around...my bad I wasn't thinking about the fact you're in Chapin...that would've answered my question as to who you are.

Why would you waste your time swapping a rotary motor INTO something? Most of the Rx7's Ive seen that are built, have been swapped out with a Ls1.

You're exactly right. The RX7 doesn't build the power that a rock crawler needs in the low end. It's an old model RX7 motor too...still running the stock carburetor.
