Default Need a dedicated comp rig.

I'm ready to build a dedicated comp rig but not sure which way to go.

I'm debating on:

1. Axial XR10.

2. Berg axles and build a custom rig.

I've read the pros and cons of each but still can't decide. I would get both but I want to only focus on one.

Yes, I know this very well..

But based on my research, I've decided between these two setups..

XR10. Love mine. Good chassis for starting out on. I started crawling mine 4-5 months ago. I recently just started to sink money into it, and came away with my first victory. On top of it I'm 3rd in season point standings with one comp left and I'm only 3 points off the leader.

Now being a good driver will defiantly help, I think the XR is a better starting point.

I highly recommend VP bushings OR VP motor plate/trans cases OR RC4WD trans case upgrade. Great way to prevent the weakest link from breaking. Pretty bulletproof otherwise.

Cool thanks.. This is one of the reasons I thought of grabbing some Berg axles and doing a custom build. The Axial needs a bit of upgrading to be rock solid..

So do Bergs. They are not bullet proof stock.

For the record, I ran my XR10 with failed bearings front and rear and never broke a thing.

That's why I was going to just get the axles and build it from scratch..

This is exactly why I could not decide which way to go..

In the end you'll be much happier with the XR. Trust me!
