Default super super slow speed question.

Hi all. I've been thinking about getting either the redcat rs10xt or losi mini crawler. What i m looking for is which one has the slowest minimum speed? Thanks.

It depends on the motor you have in it...
Gear ratio...

They'll both sit completely immobile, which is about as slow as it gets without going backwards.

Why are you looking for the slowest?

lol . I m a total newbie to crawling. Is it possible to gear down both the rs10 or losi mini with stock motors? Do i need buy extra parts to gear down? I've also notice that the rs10 xt uses a 8t pinion compared to the original rs10 which uses a 10t pinion. Does that mean the xt 's slowest speed is slower than the original rs10?

Exactly what I was going to say. Why do you want to go so slow anyways? Look at some videos on youtube, these are crawlers so they are slow.

This is the kind of slow speed i want. WHich would be slower at minimal throttle: rs10 xt with 8 pinion or losi mini? Thanks.

the losi has good control stock, and with some motor upgrades (holmes) and a esc upgrade (B1R) it will creep w/ the best of them

are you building something besides a crawler? That crane looked like my losi with a 55t on 2s Anything you buy will creep along at any speed you want it to. Just keep turning up the throttle trim till it starts to move? I dont see how any of this is usefull for a crawler , comp, basher or scaler. You have to be building something else , come on spill it.

Hello everyone .Got a few more noobie questions. Would it be possible to achieve the kind of speed shown in the videos with a stock rs10xt or losi mini crawler? If not, What kind of mod or upgrades do i need to get that kind of speed? I want some decent full throttle speed too but what i m really looking for is a super slow minimal speed like shown in the videos. Thanks again.

All it takes is proper throttle control.

Tell us what you are tying to do, we will tell you what to get...

If you are looking to build something thats like the videos then why buy a whole truck? You could easily buy a couple pieces and adapt them to these lego creations...

holmes hobbbbbies motor, email him and ask what he recomends. I have the cobalt puller and his esc, my honcho will go slower and with more control than most others rigs....however I believe most motors will go just as slow if you tell em to with your radio. I just like my HH motor and esc, lots of smooth low speed control.

tell us what you need, how heavy your rig is, how fast/slow and how much you want to spend.

electronics are from 50 to lots for motor/esc combos
