Default Dig ?

Anyone that accualy has/uses a DIG on your crawler, dose using a DIG add extra wear & tear and/or damage (breakage) to any components of your crawler ? "IF" so what, when, where and can it be fixxed/strengthened ? TIA !

It doesn't effect anything you aren't going to eventually wear out or break anyway.

+1, to a point.

The dig on a shaftie may load some parts up more if you engage/disengage the dig while moving with any real speed.
The dig on a MOA won't really hurt anything....hmmmm....maybe add a little motor brush wear.

I think it's kind of balanced. You may do a bit more damage to drive shafts, outputs, etc. on a shafty with a dig installed. But at the same time, I can use my dig for more control going down steep slopes or drop-offs, where are before, my rig would just tumble end over end, all the way to the bottom, obviously breaking other things....

A lot of good points made, overall your better off with dig than rear steer way more advantages there and ur gonna break stuff anyway n wear always takes its toll overtime buts it's rc crawling that's how it goes it's expensive no matter what

Cool

Digs are a very important advantage. You are going to break/upgrade anyways so just have fun.

With the exception of burning up an improperly set dig servo, you have nothing to worry about.
