Question TLT buildup with stock parts

My tlt has been sitting around for a few years now and hasnt been touched since i got my TXT a couple of years ago. Got bored this afternoon and decided i'd try and build it up a little bit. Its already got a penguin carbon fiber chasis, and locked diffs. I just wanted to no what wheel base i needed to run and if i could possibly use the chassis i got now and get better ground clearance. Also need to no how to run a better shock setup so i can ditch the canti's. I mostly plan to make this more-so of a mud truck than a rock crawler since i already have my TXT so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I already got the stuff to make the links and plan on running cut 2.2 swamp dogs like i got on my TXT.
