It all depends on what you want to run or put togeather.
do a search and I think you will find others that have had the same question.
To make it interesting why don't you put in some specific info on what you want or what you are looking to accomplish by this question.

Moved to Newbie.

You are asking a pretty vague question. If you're talking about a 12" wheelbased Clod verses a 12" wheelbased TLT, the TLT will be alot more capable. If you want to build a Super Crawler, wheelbase of 16+", the Clod is the way to go.

I would decide it on where you are crawling, if its super intense build a clod if its pretty rough build a tlt. I love my tlt

in theory 16' clod would be able to climb over bigger rocks then the smaller tlts. i personnaly like a clod build better, i like going for a more original monster truck look instead of the super crawler look. just my 2 cents, do whatever you got the money for and what you will have fun with.

I got one of each:-P , they both have pros and cons. And like everyone is saying its all up to you in witch to choose. one thing i like better about clods are they have no tranny you have to deal with so you can run a stick or stick like chassi, also like someone above me said before you can run a 12"-18" WB. That Can come in handy if you want to enter two classes at a comp, because between runs convert from super class to 2.2 in 10-15mins

If you new to crawling go with a TLT .

One other nice thing to remember is that with dual motors, the clod essentially puts power to the wheels that grip when the motors are wired in parallel. When one axle stalls, the current will flow to the path of least resistance (the motor that isn't stalled) and pull you out of your dilemma.

I love my TLT crawler, but the above concept alone has got me pricing Clods as we speak.

Plus the fact that all the weight is right on the axle with a Clod. Motor, tranny, servos, everything.

I want the smaller size of a tlt to start with, but I want the dual motor of a clod

why even a 1/18 nylint is like a mini clod well, if you put in hg elecs

i take it there is no way to make the tlt run w/ two motors?

I would say it is the other way around, clods are easier to put together and they don't suffer from real world issues like torque twist.
