Default 20t motor and 45t motor gearing question?

What’s up everyone i got a scx10 with an axial 20t motor. The spur gear is an 87tooth. I’m looking for the best set up for an all-round trail rig. I want it able to get over and through anything or at least mostly anything. My crawler has a Novak rock star 45t motor with an 87 tooth spur gear. It’s for some trail but mostly crawling. The pinion gears i have are a 14tooth, 16tooth, and 20 tooth. Out of the pinion gears listed what do you think i should pair what pinion to witch truck? Thank you!

Without knowing what voltage you are running its hard to give you a ballpark. Plus gearing is something that differs from person to person.
I would just start at the smallest pinion and then go up from there till you find at set up you are happy with.
Just keep the motor temp under 160°f and you'll should be fine.
