Default 20t motor and 45t motor gearing question?

Whatís up everyone i got a scx10 with an axial 20t motor. The spur gear is an 87tooth. Iím looking for the best set up for an all-round trail rig. I want it able to get over and through anything or at least mostly anything. My crawler has a Novak rock star 45t motor with an 87 tooth spur gear. Itís for some trail but mostly crawling. The pinion gears i have are a 14tooth, 16tooth, and 20 tooth. Out of the pinion gears listed what do you think i should pair what pinion to witch truck? Thank you!

Without knowing what voltage you are running its hard to give you a ballpark. Plus gearing is something that differs from person to person.
I would just start at the smallest pinion and then go up from there till you find at set up you are happy with.
Just keep the motor temp under 160įf and you'll should be fine.
