| Have to make decision
I am going to buy an RC Crawler tomorrow and I have the choice between either a Losi Night crawler or an Axial AX10.. Both of them are the same price 175$.. The AX10 is brand new out of the box, never been ran.. The Losi has been ran once for a few minutes by the guys young son, so its practically brand new... Which one should I get??

Since both sound like they're (essentially) brand new, can't see either one being a wrong decision.

Offer him $300 for both. Spend a week driving them side by side and keep the one you like.

Looks like you are new to the scene so here is an option. Get the AX10 and if for some reason you do not like Comp Crawling you have the ability to very easily convert the Ax10 into an SCX10. Then you could see how you like Scale Crawling without being to much out of pocket. Good luck with which ever you choose. |

| Re: Have to make decision For what you describe I would recommend an SCX10 100%. Lots of fun on trails, decent base for bashing, can be made into whatever you really want. Tons of different bodies for it.

Long story short the guy wanted to get rid of both of them so I offered him 300 and got both.. Have only ran the AX10 so far since my brother already has a Losi and I know what that is capable of... Pretty happy with the AX10 right out of the box, need to add some wheel weights and maybe change out some of the plastic parts for metal and go from there... I know I will eventually have to change out the servo and motor for a brushless system but I will change those as they break

Can't see why need to change motor from brushed to brushless on a crawler...

| Re: Have to make decision Some people do not like tha maintenence of brushed motors. Brushless is an option, even more so with such capable ESC's like CC Mamba Max Pro which can run brushed or brushless. I would upgrade Servo, ESC, and then motor as needed. Build your own links and steering link, save some money and they are easy.

I would go with the scx-10 Had a Losi comp. crawler. It was ok. Did the MOA con. on it. Still didn't like it. That's just me.
