Default What the heck is a Beef Tube?

So... not really great marketing, the beef tube thread never actually explains what it is?!? Great if you know what they are, but kinda limits your clientele. I think I might want Standard length Beef Tubes, they sound Delicious.

I have been granted permission to continue the manufacturing and selling of the
Standard Length Beef Tubes
for the AX-10 axles.

You will recieve two Standard Tubes for $20 shipped to the lower 48. International orders, PM me for a quote.

These are identical to the Standard Beef Tubes previously available from Gunnar.

Please include Your RCC screen name and what tubes you are ordering in the Paypal notes.

They are steel sleeves that go inside the axle housing. They strengthen the axle pluse the c-hub get screwed directly into. The tube so no more stripped out screws.

Yup...not to mention adding a bit more weight down low always helps! I don't run beef tubes on any of my Axial based rigs and haven't had any issues. I'm heavy on the trigger too. I always run aluminum C hubs and knuckles never had them strip on the axles either. Not a totally necessary upgrade but then again it all depends on how you want to build your rig.

I see you getting quoted in a sig in the near future...

On topic, I've busted a couple axle housings in my VXL powered scaler before, if you have lots of power then you need them.

Same here, broke a axle housing on my scaler and foff rig. I run beef on both now.
They are a really great upgrade if you're hard on your rig. Heck, I've seen
threads in many section asking for them... Wraith, Creeper, etc...

That depends on what forums you're on.

I know that the other forum that Gunnar visits, it has a totally different meaning!

The tubes do three things: strengthen the Axial housing, lets you set caster to any angle you want, and lets you set pinion angle to whatever you want.

I just stumbled across this thread and looks like your question has been answered (Thanks everyone that chimed in!!!) And, you are correct, I need to include what they actually are in the thread.
