Ok I want to know exactly what 3 and 4 link suspensions are I realize it may have been asked a million times but my phone sucks at using the search.
I want dummiefied explanations but please don't insult my intelligence either. Pictures would be nice too.

A 3 link & 4 link is just what it says. A 3 link has 3 links coming from the chass. to the axle. A 4 link has 4 links coming from the chass. to the axle. Some are plastic, al. or ti. They connect the axles to the chass. Hope that helps.

It is easier to understand if you see a picture.
I have a picture of the 4-link setup from the bottom in my build thread.

I bought a couple of the 4-link trusses from the SCX-10RTR kit from the RPP Salvage Yard and extened the metal top links that came with my kit.

That is correct. The Y-mount on the axle is taken off and replaced with the 4-link truss which has two brackets for connecting the top links.

The instructions for the Axial Metal link set has drawings of what it looks like.
http://docs.axialracing.com/instruct...cx10-links.pdf

This only one of the many ways to do 4-link for the SCX-10. There are several differnt 4-link mounts available from various vendors and you can build the links yourself.

4-links allow smoother and increased articulation. (Better geometry.)
