gren2 06-24-2006 08:30 PM

it came from radio shack and it was a monster truck body- same size as that tacky H2- same frame

Brainstain 06-25-2006 03:55 AM

skidooguymxz550 06-25-2006 12:09 PM

thats a very good idea, weres your front spring retainers?

skidooguymxz550 06-25-2006 12:12 PM

is that fuel tubing over the links? are your lower plates made of wood?
the bed kicks @$$

gren2 06-25-2006 01:13 PM

i took the retainers off for better flex, the springs were to tight, no the frame plates are made of brass(there stout as hell)and yes that is fuel tubing ,oh i only spent 50bucks on this redneck beast from tennessee all the stampede parts you see are used

skidooguymxz550 06-25-2006 05:32 PM

well thats pretty cool. how did you buy the axles for under fifty?

gren2 06-25-2006 06:37 PM

well i had them layin around my shop i spent it on the moter, links, and dremel cut off wheels;-)

I'm sure not going to argue with a $50 build. I like the We Recycle aspect of it, and you get 10/10 for innovation. Spend another $20 on an RC18T battery pack to lower your CG and you'll see a big impreovement in stability, at the expense of runtime.

A big part of this hobby is bending your head around solving problems with available materials, and you've done a great job of that with this build. It's all about using what you've got. Later on, you can worry about getting different stuff.

Good use of parts. ;)
