Default Snow plows: how to?

i was just wondering how you would go about making a snow plow for a scale crawler. i kind of have an idea since i have a small diameter pvc pipe that would be perfect for the 1:24 scale crawler i will get from losi. so all i need is a wench and an extra servo for left and right movement? would i need to get a bigger receiver for the extra stuff. and keep in mind this is all micro stuff at 1:24 scale.

-thanks

Lots of us looking for a wench.....

You mean "winch".

For a 1/24th scale rig, it's going to be really tough to do a movable plow, not much rig power, not much room for a winch and/or the servos for each (servo winch to raise/lower the plow) and needing the radio to cover multiple channels.

I would stick to just running the rig.....10th+ scale would be a better base for a working plow.

He should have plenty of room for micro or sub micro servos.. it can all be built from styrene so weight will be no issue.. micro servos should have plenty of power to do any work that can actually be accomplished with the truck..

I think functioning with actual snow will be the real issue..

You could just do a hinge type mount and use the winch for up and down control.

yes thank's for the correction to the word. i really need to start getting more sleep. but I guess i will just save up more money for an axial scx10 and make a winch. would pvc be a better material to use? my theory is its plastic, it can't rust versus the sheet metal type deals being all metal.
