| Where to find Wheel Weights?!
Im having an absolute nightmare of a time trying to find weight. Ive looked everywhere for stick on stuff and cant find it anywhere. Where do you guys get your weight from? Im looking for something preferably local, I dont really care for Ebay...but if it must happen...I'll do it. I have checked Autozone, and nothing. I heard O'rileys might carry stick on weights? |

Any tire shop should have stick on weights. I have never tried any automotive parts places but the tire shop should be able to help you out.

I found a tire place that had steel weights that has a little bit of rust. So got them super cheap as cosmetically they could not use them. Most online shops that deal to crawlers sell them as well. |

Any hobby shops will have the stick on weights strips. We use them to balance airplanes. I personally use thick solder. Home Depot has some 1/4 solder for plumbing use that I wrap around the inside of the rim and then put the foam and tire on normally. Simply unroll the solder and cut into equal pieces and then wrap the rims. |

Thanks guys! I'll give Hobbytown a look tomorrow, or O'Rileys if I cant find anything there. Im about to order some Pitbulls for my SCX10, looking forward to getting some weight in front and being able to push it more! |

You could also go to your local Harbor Freight. I saw a ton of non-lead based self-adhesive weights when I was there last week.

Another good option is 3/16" lead wire available thru sportsmanswarehouse.com.

ended up finding them at O'Rilleys. Hobbytown had 6oz of the plane balancing ones, but I needed closer to 12. The plumbing solder looked good, but Lowes wanted 24$ for a pound. Wayy too much for my blood. No Harbor Freight here, kind of a bummer. |

I bought some from this guy on ebay. It's 4 strips @ 3 oz each and they fit perfectly in the groove of my stock AX10 wheels. Running stock wheels, foams and Panther Cougars with 5 3/4 oz front and 2 3/4 oz rear. No problems remounting the tires. $11.75 shipped for 24 oz (iron) 48 PC 1/4 OZ ADHESIVE WHEEL WEIGHTS (4 STRIPS TOTALING 12 OUNCES OF WEIGHTS) | eBay |
