Default I need help figuring out which crawler i should get!!!!

i have a few options i've considered. i want to make a custom scaler but there are others that are cheaper for me so i can upgrade them. these are what i have in mind so far

or should i just do ckrc's build your own crawler package. and i understand that ultimately its my own decision but i want some crawler vets opinions. my budget is $400.

I'm in the same boat as you.... Guess the best way to find out is lots of research and YouTube.

I'm in no way a vet, new to scale trucks. Just curious what you thought about the scx 10 dingo or honcho?

Most of what you listed aren't scalers at all...and you're still spending the majority of your budget on them. You said you wanted a custom scaler, but consider this. Pick up a SCX10 Dingo kit, which is around $250, then you get the fun of building it yourself and you can use the rest of your budget and maybe save a little more money for electronics. If you want something RTR, consider the SCX10 Honcho RTR, which is around $360.

If you went these routes you'd already have a great set of axles and a chassis that 90% of the scaler builders on here use to begin with and you could upgrade and customize the thing over time.

SCX10 Dingo:
Axial SCX10 w/ Dingo Body (kit)

SCX10 Honcho RTR:
Trail Honcho 1/10th SCALE ELECTRIC 4WD - RTR

Buy a star and check out the classifieds. You will find a used crawler/scaler for a better deal. If you want to buy new check out RPP. Much better company to deal with.
